The Three Cities group has signed up five new properties to its portfolio.
Among the new additions are the Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel in Cape Town, the Docklands Hotel in Durban and three new game lodges that will fall under the group’s recently launched Exceptional Safaris brand.
Said Mike Lambert, Three Cities CEO, “We are delighted to welcome each of these properties to our portfolio and we are confident that the additional products will only enhance our guests and clients travel opportunities within Southern Africa.”
The Grand Daddy Hotel situated on Cape Town’s Long Street, is renowned for its Airstream Rooftop Trailer Park which provides accommodation in the form of quirky, customised trailer homes with a uniquely South African twist. The hotel also offers business facilities as well as a restaurant serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
The Docklands Hotel positioned in Durban’s Point Waterfront has 83 rooms with views of either the harbour or the Indian Ocean.
Lambert said, “Both the Grand Daddy and Docklands Hotels offer travellers something dynamic and unapologetically urbane in the Cape Town and Durban regions.”
Three Cities’ Exceptional Safaris brand which was launched in March now has three new properties in its stable. These include Jaci’s Lodges in the popular Madikwe Game Reserve, Cheetah Plains in the unparalleled Kruger National Park and Mushroom Lodge and Presidential House in Zambia.
Jaci’s Safari or Tree Lodges provide luxury accommodation and five-star service in the Madikwe Game Reserve and are suitable for intimate retreats or family getaways. Cheetah Plains offers an exclusive and luxurious bush escape.
Accommodation is in eight traditionally thatched chalets situated in indigenous gardens where antelope roam freely. Mushroom Lodge and Presidential House, located on the Mfuwe Lagoon in Zambia’s South Luangwa Park, has a unique history having hosted several heads of state and VIP guests in the seventies. Abandoned after the Kenneth Kaunda era, the lodge was restored to its former glory and now boasts generous chalets with all the modern conveniences expected of a luxury lodge.
