After 23 years of working with An African Anthology, Kapama will begin independent representation directly to the trade from the end of February 2027.
The in-house sales team, headed by Christiaan Steyn, includes Sven Africa, Sales Manager and primary contact for Europe-based agents, Seyms Brugger as Sales Manager and primary contact for North American agents and Ryno van der Elst as Sales Analyst.
Marieke van Staden, who has been part of Kapama’s reservations team for the past 10 years, will lead a team of eight reservations professionals. Trade Manager Kira Viviers and her team will look after local and international trade partners.
While the team has changed, Steyn is confident that very little will change from a trade perspective.
“There are no changes to the operation on contracting, commissions, bookings or communications from a trade perspective. The only change is that the trade will now deal with Kapama reservations, sales and marketing teams directly,” says Steyn.
“The Kapama sales team has grown rapidly and will now be present offshore across the globe, regularly visiting trade partners at shows, events and one-on-one,” says Andrew Camp, Head of Brand for Kapama.
