Air Nigeria, formerly operating as Virgin Nigeria, will re-commence its Johannesburg flights starting June 17.
The flights will be operated with a recently acquired A330-200 aircraft configured with 24 seats in business class and 244 in economy. The aircraft is equipped with iPads for entertainment in the business-class cabin, making Air Nigeria one of the first African airlines to introduce this in-flight service.
The flights will depart Lagos on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 23h50, arriving in Johannesburg at 06h50 next morning. The return flight departs Johannesburg on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 09h15, arriving in Lagos at 14h15.
In addition to Johannesburg, Air Nigeria will also start scheduled services to London-Gatwick three times a week. Flights into Lagos connect with onward domestic flights within Nigeria and regional destinations, including Abidjan, Banjul, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Dakar, Douala, Libreville, São Tomé and Monrovia.
